Catching on the ice means on the water
Discussions on the new fishing law never cease. There are also concerns that have grounds. There is already information about the first frictions with representatives of the law, namely the fish inspectorate. And the main thing is striking the absurdity of this conflict, it would seem, some kind of fabulous. Nevertheless, these tales turned into real fines that anglers received for sitting on the ice and catching fish …
What is criminal here?
All anglers catch from the ice during the winter-spring fishing. But there is one nuance. In our area, the terms of the spring spawning ban moved until the tenth of April. Feel where the dog rummaged? The fishermen sat on the ice and fished, it turns out, not from the shore during the spawning period, but from the water. And according to the rules, they should sit on the bank and throw the tackle into the hole, well, so, on sniping, with a special fishing rod. Formally, they also fall under the violation of the law, although there were no boats. Here they are the first alarming signals, when everything will be given to the inspector’s desire to punish, his mood, financial situation. And such loopholes with backlash in the new law on fishing will still reveal a sufficient amount. Most disturbingly, the inspectors were given more rights.
And if these fishermen, who were sitting with fishing rods on hard water, would be caught in the spawning grounds? At this time, only the pike can spawn. But at the same time, the Mormyshmen, again, formally fall under the violation of the law. Yes … – our beloved satirist Mikhail Zadornov would have breathed heavily, as he was able to effectively do when he discovered another stupidity in our country. And probably would have written another humorous story.
Fishing in the spawning period completely closed?
My son called me today with the question: “But what about fishing in the spawning period completely shut?”. I answer him, they say, no, you can fish from the shore, as it was before, since the Soviet era. There are no changes here. If only there were no more than two hooks on the gear. This may be donka, float rod, feeder. Another thing is that now you can not go fishing without any measuring tools, otherwise you will catch a fish less than a centimeter and imparted to you a zealous inspector. And the scales must have, so that there is no overfishing. All these requirements were in Soviet times, but now with fines of 2-5 thousand fishing turns into some kind of action, where you have to constantly look around. And there is no longer such a warm feeling in my heart from this unity with nature and the struggle with cunning fish. And if you consider that if you wander into the spawning area, the penalties will be completely different. It turns out – step to the left, step to the right – an attempt to escape. You can, of course, study the places of spawning on the maps, if you find it, you can sit and measure each fish caught and weigh the catch. And when to catch something and relax?
Catching on the ice means on the water
It is clear that everything will “settle down”, it will be run-in by Russian reality, but for some reason it seems that after the RPU was canceled, the officials, who apparently had some benefit from them, simply take revenge by tightening the laws, they say, oh you don’t want to give everything Russian water bodies to merchants, so we will “make it” under the law, will not find it enough. And you do not turn up on your own river without an alarming look. And we still make our money at the same fines. And everything will be according to the law. And the boat pick, and gear. Get what you asked for …
Eh, where is our Soviet fishing?
Then they fought not with fishermen, but with the pollution of their native rivers and lakes. There were societies of fishermen and hunters, whose members traveled to the reservoirs and cleaned the shores, mowed grass on the bottom, came to fish at winter and instead of scooping it with bags, connected aeration mechanisms, drilled the whole crew with fish, giving the fish a breath of fresh air. And then the whole team of society went to the Volga, small rivers and lakes. Themselves ensured that there was no grabber on them. But they didn’t go after each angler, looking over the shoulder, how much less centimeters the fish he caught. And there was no such feeling that you are in some kind of special zone, which is also called the “zone of alienation”. There were warm human relations, and there was warm Soviet fishing. No wonder now so much nostalgia for the Soviet Union. The merchants won and, of course, there will be no return to the past, but I would like to, even in fishing …
