New places for fishing
Nowadays, when fishing stores offer thousands of different gear and accessories for fishing, fishing itself has become available to millions of people, which is an indicator of the popularity of this type of recreation. But at the same time, the fishing itself began to lose some zest. You must admit that if earlier we independently designed and developed something, somehow adjusted the gear to catch the trophy, then today you can buy all this. And, it seems, it is convenient and practical, everything works, the opportunity to choose has appeared, but something inexplicable has gone. I love to walk on the river, exploring and discovering new places for fishing. And somehow I have long since been led, that in a backpack there are always 2-3 ordinary donkeys, the design of which is known to any fisherman. In the past year or two, I also acquired a very cheap Chinese fishing pole, which when folded does not exceed 40 centimeters. Equipped her with a float. As a result, all my “good” does not exceed 2-3 kilograms of weight, it does not interfere with moving around the reservoir at all. I get real pleasure for two reasons:
1. Communication with nature and the discovery of new promising places for fishing
2. Catching on “very simple” tackles that are used today, perhaps, in the outback
Imagine the following picture. You are 10-15 km away. from the village, around the forest, near the river. Suddenly, you notice that at your bank, right under the bushes, the flow of the river turns back slightly, starts spinning, and the pleasant darkness of the water attracts. You assume that this is a small bluff or fossa, right there in a minute you prepare the tackle, the cast and … a decent perch on the hook. This is how new fishing sites are opened. And it is this kind of fishing that gives me real pleasure, since in such conditions you have to rely only on yourself and your experience, and not on the tricks of engineering thought, thanks to which the fish “will bite one hundred percent.” Yes, rarely can I catch a lot, but that’s not the point for me. As a rule, I let go of all the caught fish, but the speed of exploration and absolute comfort (no need to carry a lot of fishing gear with me), I am very pleased with the mobility. Exactly the same story with a pair of donok, which I always have with me. Donks are ordinary pegs, to which I wrapped 30 meters of fishing line (at the moment, I have 0.3 mm of fishing line), tied a weight and 1-2 hooks on a thinner leash.
No tricks absolutely. Having thrown a donk, I hang up a splinter on a scaffold – the peculiar indicator of a bite. As you can see, no tricks and difficulties. In this way, with just one light backpack behind you, in your free time you can walk a fairly long distance, explore the terrain. I like this approach, since with minimal availability of cheap gear, I get maximum information about the reservoir, and when the fishing spot is found, the next time I return here already prepared for the full program. It seems to me that this kind of fishing was described by L.P. Sabaneev, this is how our ancestors “found” the fish, which means that we should not forget about the true purpose of amateur fishing today.
